Overview

The Challenge

Specialty coffee shops have become a global cultural phenomenon, highly aesthetic yet increasingly overcrowded, expensive and overrated. De’Longhi faced a simple challenge: how to show our coffee machines make the best coffees, when consumers seem to think coffee is only good outside their homes?

The Solution

Introducing Tiny Coffee Shops: five iconic coffee machines reimagined as handcrafted, fully functional miniature cafés. Inspired by the world’s leading coffee cities, the collection became the centerpiece of a global campaign, a living product demo showing that true café-quality coffee can be made on your kitchen counter. Designed by film’s renowned miniature artist and Wes Anderson Collaborator, Simon Weisse, the campaign was launched globally through film, outdoor, live pop-up events and Milan Design Week. The campaign repositioned De’Longhi as the ultimate at-home coffee solution. By merging craftsmanship with storytelling, it drove engagement, earned media and brand preference, successfully shifting perception from appliance to lifestyle brand.
