Ian joined TBWA in August 2017 as President of Asia, based out of Singapore. He is responsible for driving the overall strategic vision of the Asia collective and ensuring the TBWA\Group remains a leading agency with Disruption® at its core.
As a graduate of Clare College, Cambridge and the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School, Ian joined AMV BBDO as a trainee in 1996, and went on to work with pretty much every brand that the agency handles, from Guinness, Adidas and Walkers, to Heinz, BT, and The National Lottery. He joined the management team in 2005 as Managing Partner, and was later promoted to Managing Director in 2008, and CEO in 2010.
Under his leadership, AMV BBDO became the UK's first half-a-billion pound agency by billing and received 40 AOTY plaudits at major awards shows, as well as consistently ranking in the top 40 "Best Companies To Work For" published by the Sunday Times. He joined the BBDO Worldwide board in 2015.
