After 50 years of separation, Airbnb opens its doors in Cuba to prove that belonging knows no borders
President Obama normalized relations with Cuba, opening the door for a creative idea to become the year’s biggest business idea. To make good on Airbnb’s beliefs as a brand and turn the tide with Airbnb skeptics, together with TBWA\Chiat\Day Los Angeles, they had to think big. They had to make history. To do it, Airbnb went to a place they knew they didn't yet belong: Cuba.
