TBWA Amsterdam has been chosen to handle the European strategic and creative advertising account for KAYAK (kayak.com), a free web and mobile service to help people find and manage their travel. The decision is a result of a close collaboration that brought together the best European TBWA talent from France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Spain and UK. The account will be run from the Amsterdam office, employing the unique collaborative model that was created for the pitch.
Reflecting on the hire, Robert Birge, CMO of KAYAK, commented to ADWEEK that he was impressed with TBWA's strategic view of the market, its creative ideas and the international flavor of its office in Amsterdam. Moreover, he described TBWA as a "good cultural fit.”
