TBWA Worldwide Celebrates International Women’s Day 2018
March 08, 2018
TBWA Worldwide’s global collective today celebrated International Women’s Day with activations in many of its offices around the world.
In support of the 2018 theme #PressForProgress, the agency also shared progress on its Take the Lead initiative, which was launched on International Women’s Day 2015 with an initial goal of increasing the percentage of women in leadership roles by 20% by the year 2020.
To date, we have seen an increase in the female-to-male leadership ratio across the company by 12%, with a 15% increase at the Executive/C-level, and an 11% increase at the Management/Director level. Women now comprise 41% of leadership roles at TBWA globally. Specific areas of progress include women in the role of CEO (up 15%), CSO/Head of Strategy (up 27%), Managing Director (up 12%) and Creative Director (up 29%). With women now comprising 41% of leadership roles at TBWA globally, we are getting closer to reaching our goal, but will not stop until we achieve gender parity.
The next area of focus for Take the Lead will be on mentorship, ensuring we train, develop and grow the next generation of female leaders within the company.
