KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Tuesday September 24, 2013 – At the recently concluded award ceremony for the 2nd Annual Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia and Malaysia, TBWA emerged as the most awarded Malaysian agency group as they took the top spot in five different categories across both competitions.
Leading the group’s charge for Gold in the Malaysian competition was TBWA\Kuala Lumpur’s work on: Bursa Malaysia in the ‘Best Use of Public Relations’ category; Etiqa Motortakaful.com in ‘Best Social Marketing’ category; the ‘Call-for-Entries’ work for last year’s Kancil Awards in the ‘B2B’ category; and Creative Juice Kuala Lumpur’s work for Nando’s in the ‘Best Brand Building’ category.
Other awarded work went to clients such as Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia, the Bar Council of Malaysia, Resorts World Genting, Great Eastern Life Assurance, OSK Investment Bank, the Global Peace Festival and DiGi.
At the Asian level of the competition, TBWA’s festive campaign for Standard Chartered Bank titled ‘Santa’s Chinese New Year’ picked up the Gold in ‘Best Brand Loyalty’ category. TBWA\Kuala Lumpur was the only Malaysian agency to win a Gold in the Asia competition.
In total, TBWA walked away with an impressive haul of five Gold awards, four Silver awards, four Bronze awards, and nine Merits, across both competitions.
“We’ve always taken great pride in our ability to work closely with our clients in order to develop effective campaigns that delivers big results,” said TBWA\Kuala Lumpur’s General Manager, Shaun Tay. “A testament to this is having eleven different campaigns winning accolades tonight.” Tay also reprised his role as a judge for the Asian level competition.
