TBWA\ Düsseldorf wins the race to create the campaign for the Winter Olympics 2014 for ZDF
Düsseldorf (May 29, 2013) – TBWA\ Düsseldorf is awarded the assignment by ZDF (second German TV channel) to create the campaign around the broadcasting of the Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sotschi.
Thomas Grimm, ZDF Marketing Director, comments on the decision: “The Olympic basic idea and the aesthetic interpretation developed by TBWA whet the appetite for our program and at the same time underpin the high quality of our offers during the Games.”
The team headed by TBWA’s Managing Directors Creation, Tim Jacobs and Jörg Herzog, are very happy about their victory. Tim Jacobs says: “The entire team was full of enthusiasm for the project from the start, and it clearly shows.”
Besides classic TV trailers, the Olympic Campaign comprises further on-air and off-air measures. The work will be produced over the course of this year. The 22nd Olympic Winter Games will take place from February 7th to 23rd, 2014.
Last year, ZDF installed an agency pool, and after a multi-stage selection process decided in favor of the four agencies KNSK, Peter Schmidt Group, Plan.Net and TBWA. TBWA\ Düsseldorf won the mandate for the digital programs ZDFneo, ZDFkultur and ZDFinfo. Besides ZDF, the Düsseldorf agency also services, among others, the brands Brandt, Henkel, Kerrygold, Michelin, Nissan, Schwarzkopf and Wagner.
