With a party for 600 guests, LewLara\TBWA celebrated two decades of experience in the advertising market. Everyone who participated in the history of the company was at the celebration — clients, partners and employees — and, of course, President and CEO of TBWA Worldwide, Tom Carroll.
The agency, founded by Luiz Lara and Jaques Lewkowicz, celebrated its 20 year operating in the Brazilian market and also the next 20 years to come. At the gathering, they announced three new, local partners: Márcio Oliveira, Manir Fadel and Sheila Wakswaser. Márcio Oliveira and Manir Fadel will respectively assume roles as the new CEO and CCO of the agency; Sheila Wakswaser will become CFO; Luiz Lara will remain Chairman and Jaques Lewkowicz will continue to be as Creative Chairman.
Also, at the end of 2012, Lew‘Lara\TBWA was elected as the Best Agency of the Converging Communications segment by the agencyScop survey, a survey conducted by the Consultores Group to more 300 marketing directors in Brazil. This survey also recognized the work Lew’Lara\TBWA has been doing for Nissan among the best advertising campaigns currently on the air in Brazil, second only to Itaú and ahead of iconic and big-budget brands Havaianas, Skol, Fiat and Volkswagen. Compared to the last edition of this survey, Nissan was the fastest mover in the ranking, having shot up from 93rd place to the second place.
And, let’s not forget another great accomplishment: for the first time ever, in the history of the country, a Brazilian agency won an IPA Effectiveness award, one of the toughest festivals in the world. In 2012, Lew‘Lara\TBWA’s communication case for Nissan took home a silver medal.
Here’s to 20 amazing years of Lew‘Lara\TBWA and 20 more to come!
